Sara Aukerman serves as Compliance Officer for Physicians of Southwest Washington (PSW), NW Momentum Health Partners (NWMHP) and MultiCare Connected Care (MCC). In her 10 years at PSW, she is responsible for leading internal processes for ensuring compliance, mitigation, manages HIPAA privacy and security regulations, company policies and contracts. She is also responsible for formulating and implementing policies and procedures, while ensuring they are communicated and trained upon across all companies.
Sara joined PSW in 2009 in the administration department and worked her way through numerous divisions that spanned from claims to information technology. Prior to joining PSW, Sara worked in the medical industry and co-owned an event planning company.
Sara is certified as a professional coder and a professional compliance officer through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). She currently resides in Olympia, WA with her daughter and enjoys refinishing furniture and creating jewelry.
